A project realized for Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center (Budapest).
Through Robert Capa’s only surviving radio interview I examined the different forms of advertising and how they can change the meaning of things. There are plenty of commercials in this radio show. They advertise Capa’s book Slightly Out of Focus, as well as a product placed conversation about Savarin coffee, and at the end of the show the new parking service at the department store that was mentioned. Though one could argue that the most basic and strongest form of advertising here is perhaps the strengthening of Capa's image itself.
This video work is a contemplation on how advertisements can empty the meaning of things and what stays behind the advertisement when we take a literal look behind the advertisement.
